E-commerce giant Shopify has announced a partnership with Web3 commerce platform Novel. Novel can deploy smart contracts on collections of NFTs that Shopify users can purchase directly on the platform.

The Novel Shopify app mainly provides two functions: minting and distributing NFTs, and once an NFT is purchased, Shopify users get an automatically created crypto wallet.

In addition, Shopify merchants (including brands and creators) can also enable Token-based application features on the storefront, such as offering discounts on the use of Tokens, supporting cross-chain transactions on Solana, Ethereum and Polygon, etc.
